I’m thankful

Finally!

I love that someone has recognized that being tracked everywhere we go is not right. No one should be able to buy that kind detailed of information, especially when it is extracted without consent. I am so happy you have provided an application/add-on that allows us to essentially opt-out of being tracked by multiple shadowy parties non-stop on a daily basis. The automated collection and storage of this data (for an obscenely long time-frame) is not essentially a bad thing. "For science!" is a completely understandable reason for this kind of behavior, as it can be used to make very large and complicated systems dependent on populations of people more efficient by providing perspective. Even so, when I visit a website in good faith and use a service I should not be tracked by a third-party without my knowledge. For example when I visit a website unrelated to Google they are still informed of the visit most of the time even though there is no visible disclaimer informing me of this transaction. Obviously the collection of this data is a conflicted issue, after all, who "owns" the data about a meeting between two people? Person 1 or person 2? However it is clear that collecting and distributing that data to a third-party without the consent of both original parties is wrong. Until now, there was really no practical way to combat this kind of invasive presence on a day to day basis. Ghostery may not be a magic bullet, but it is a welcome part of my browsing experience and I thank you for that.

;tl:dr You guys are awesome. Keep up the good work.
