Since the update to version 33.1.1, Firefox doesn't terminate properly anymore if the Ghostery add-on is eabled. I use FF / Ghostery on Windows 8 Enterprise.
Details: I can close FF allright but when I restart it I get the message that an instance of FF is still running and must be terminated before the application can start again. I have to kill FF manually via the task manager which is very annoying. If I ignore the message long enough the FF crash dialog pops up.
I highly appreciate Ghostery's valuable service and would be very happy if I could switch it on again (currently disabled).
Thanks a lot!

That sounds like a non-Ghostery-specific Firefox issue.
If you don't find a solution there, try searching questions on Mozilla's support site. User error can lead to access permissions being set inappropriately, which often results in similar behavior. -
