Firefox: Options -> General not available

With the latest version of Firefox (36.0.1), either English or German, the "General" tab in the Options menu is no longer visible.
This is truly annoying. All possibilities I found on support.mozilla.org could not solve the problem.
What can I do as I do not really see myself surfing the Internet without Ghostery.
Help, please!
