Ghosterly and IE 10 not working properly
I installed ghostery in IE 10 and can't find the configuration icon in the Tools. IE says that ghostery is indeed installed and active but there is no way to configure it. It did work only once by showing me the rectalgular box but has not worked ever since. I uninstalled it and reinstalled with no luck. I have the latest version 3.1.0. Help.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
Sorry for the inconvenience.. If you enter www.ghostery.com/addon/walkthrough you should get the set up wizard. Please let me know if that works. -

I do get the setup wizard properly but it doesn't solve my problem. When I installed ghosterly the first time, I got a rectangular box about some things that were blocked. I clicked on that box and it disapeared. That's when it stopped working and never worked again. I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times with no luck. I have Windows 7 32 bits and IE 10 with the latest version of ghosterly.

Clicking on the box should make it disappear.. When you click on the Ghostery icon, do you get the panel showing the trackers present? So after you dismiss the alert once, you never get it again?

Here is what I did to finally solve the problem.
Reset IE 10 to factory defaults.
Remove ghostery from the registry after uninstalling it.
Reinstall and configure ghostery.
Now it works but the icon is not where it should be. It is up on the right side of the screen on the left of three icons, a house, a star and a wheel, not it the tools menus. At least it works now. Thanks for trying to help. -

can you attach a screenshot of the icon placement?

That's the correct placement for the icon.. I guess I'm confused of the issue.

Is there any way to get a list of what ghostery blocks? Can we be selective in chosing what is blocked one by one? Thanks.

Blocking options > Ghostery options menu.. you will see a list of Trackers broken out by category.

It seems that I am the one to be confused. I thought that the ghostery options menu was supposed to be on the right of the menu bar that says page, security, Tools and help. Before I did a reset to factory defaults of IE 10, I did not have the icon like in my screen crop. I think that there was something blocking it in the options. Thanks for your help and congratulations for a fine tool.
