Ghostery Affecting 2 Major Websites

HELLO GHOSTERY,

For the last week or so GHOSTERY has been affecting/breaking http://www.gamespot.com and http://www.giantbomb.com on my web browsers. When I go to the main page of Gamespot most of the front page is broken (This has been happening for quite some time by the way).

The real reason I am creating this post is because the videos no longer play since I first noticed on Saturday March 14, 2015 on Gamespot and Giantbomb. The videos no longer play on all pages of the Gamespot/Giantbomb websites unless I turn on Doubleclick. Without Doubleclick on Gamespot the videos just endlessly load but never load the video and on Giantbomb the videos are ghosted out of the page. Only with Doubleclick enabled does the video play. Adblock does not interfere. Adblock by itself allows the videos to play. Ghostery by itself does not. I have always enabled both extensions at the same time and no interference issues. DOUBLECLICK NEVER NEEDED TO BE ON BEFORE LAST WEEKEND.

Currently being affected by this Doubleclick issue - Mozilla Firefox 35.0, 35.0.1, 36.0 and 36.0.1 (My currently installed Firefox version is 36.0.1). That is as far back as I went with Firefox versions, but I can confirm the 4 I noted are being affected.

Also being affected by this Doubleclick issue - Google Chrome 41.0.2272 (My currently installed Google Chrome version is Version 41.0.2272.101 m (64-bit).

Somehow, some weird way, Opera is not being affected. SORRY FOR WALL OF PICTURES.

    Hey There,

Sorry for the delay... I forwarded this on to our dev team. They requested a few tickets for research, but I wanted to forward you their responses..

    1. Adblock is allowing doubleclick to load on this page, that's why it works for them. I'm not sure how they're are blocking the actual video ad while allowing doubleclick. Make a ticket to investigate that on gamespot.com

    2. Adobe Media Optimizer is breaking the main page clicks and it doesn't look like there's a good way to surrogate it. ABP is blocking the script but clicks work. Make a ticket to investigate that too please.
