Ghostery has stopped working in Firefox
Ghostery has stopped working. It now says "No Trackers Found" on every site, including sites on which multiple trackers were usually found. I'm using Firefox 34.0.5 (up to date). I've restarted system and browser, removed Ghostery and reinstalled. No luck.

Hi Anne,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
To reinstall you need to create a new Firefox profile to see if the problem is really resolved.
What OS are you using? Any other add-ons? If so.. can you disable to see if Ghostery works without them?
Talk with you soon. -

Hi Pete,
I don't know how create a new Firefox profile. I will do a search and if I find an answer, create one. Otherwise, I will post for further instructions.
I am using Windows 8. I have 1 other add-on: Ad-block Plus 2.6.6. I will try disabling it. Though, I had this add-on when I installed Ghostery and for months, everything was working well. Until recently, when I started to get the temporary bug described by MrBrian in the following thread:

Then yesterday, the No Trackers bug became permanent. -

I did some troubleshooting based on info in MrBrian's thread and found a possible clue to the problem:
https://getsatisfaction.com/ghostery/...
I also get Ghostery script error (sometimes more than one), similar but slightly different from MrBrian's . I also keep a lot of old tabs open all of the time. Since the error(s) occur on old tabs, I thought perhaps if I close all of the old tabs, Ghostery would work again. I closed all of my tabs and started with just a new tab. When I opened other new tabs, Ghostery was scanning and blocking trackers again. The No Trackers bug was gone.
I then opened all of my old tabs. I got one Ghostery script error message on an old tab. When all of my old tabs were opened, the No Trackers Found message was back on the Ghostery pop-up window. Ghostery was again not working. It appears as if the Unresponsive Script Error is preventing Ghostery from working even in new tabs, if you keep old tabs open. Since I was able to get the program working in this profile with all new tabs, I don't think the profile is the problem. I think the problem is related to the Ghostery script error on old tabs. I'm going to hold off on creating a new profile, Especially since MrBrian found the same error on a new profile. I will email Pete the script error and wait for the next response. -
