Ghostery in Firefox >34 causes Amazon.com tabs to freeze the browser

Ghostery 5.4.1, Firefox 36 Beta 3, Mac OS X Mavericks

I've tested this with FF 32, FF 34, FF 35, and FF 36, and in the latter two versions, even with all other plugins disabled, the browser will freeze/stutter/become slow-to-respond if loading a page on Amazon.com -- even on other tabs. (For instance, opening the Add-Ons tab while an Amazon.com page is loading, or has recently loaded, takes a long time.)

Even in FF 34, it seems to slow things down a bit on Amazon.com, but not nearly as much as it does in FF 35 and 36.

The same issue can be seen with just the 1Password extension enabled in FF 35 and 36; I know this isn't your software, but I thought maybe there'd be a clue there. They suggested that something may have changed in Firefox's add-on API.
