ghostery leaves new windows open when blocking redirects, how do i make ghostery stop leaving them open and close them automatically?

ghostery tells me in a popup window that it stopped a redirect from one site to another (popup windows-see picture)
but i have to close them manually, with the add-on "adblock plus popup-addon 0.9.2" on firefox it automatically closes unwanted new tabs and windows, but it does not work with ghostery. (as ghostery doesnt tell me the initial url so i can block it before ghostery reroutes me)
is there a way to tell ghostery to close those new windows automatically, or do i really have to remove ghostery to fix this super annoying issure?
