Ghostery 1.0.0 not working with Safari 5.0.5 on iMac
Ghostery 1.0.0 is working great with Firefox 3.6.15 on my iMac but and sad :-( to say Ghostery is not working with Safari 5.0.5 on my iMac; anyone have any thoughts or comments.

What happens when you install from http://extensions.apple.com/ and then navigate to nytimes.com (for instance)?Comment -

The install from http://extensions.apple.com went find there were no indications of any problems. The Ghostery icon appears in the upper left portion of the Safari control tool panel however the icon is black in color and when selected by clicking it nothing happens.
Also, when I open the Safari browser a Ghostery page opens (I think is the configuration page) but has nothing on it.
However, Firefox is the exact opposite. -

Do you also have the AdBlock extension installed? There is currently a bug in AdBlock that breaks Ghostery when you have the Ukrainian filter set selected. The bug should get fixed soon, but until then, unselect the Ukrainian filter set in AdBlock's options.

If AdBlock isn't the issue, what other extensions/Safari plug-ins do you have installed?

I have the same exact problem John mentioned. Downloaded current Ghostery onto iMac 10.6.7, Safari 5.05 and it does absolutely nothing. I do not have AdBlock ixtension installed.

Could you go to Safari's Preferences, click on the Advanced tab, mark "Show Develop menu in menu bar", and then open a new page, navigate somewhere, like nytimes.com, then open Error Console on that page by clicking "Show Error Console" in Safari's Develop menu, and click Ghostery's toolbar button? What does the console show?-

Also, do you have any toolbars installed, such as Conduit or RoadRunner?
Is JavaScript enabled in your Safari Preferences' Security tab?-
No I don't have Conduit or RoadRunner installed, should I?

Could you try another thing please?
Could you install AdBlock from http://extensions.apple.com/ and see if it works for you, or if it breaks in a similar way to Ghostery?

As for installing the Firefox version, try opening a Firefox window and dragging the xpi file onto it.

I did everything the link http://code.google.com/p/adblockforch... recommended including clearing cache & cookies. Checked & unchecked Enable JavaScript, reinstalled both AdBlock & Ghostery. Problem still exists.
Suggestion for Firefox worked. Ghostery works with Firefox browser now. -
