Ghostery 2.1.2 generating lots of false positives
Latest version of Ghostery seems to generate A LOT of false positives. On sites that I operate myself where I know only Piwik is installed I've seen Ghostery report up to 10 webbugs from all sorts of other sources. Are others seeing this? I'm on Ghostery 2.1.2 and Firefox/Iceweasel 3.0.6 on Debian x86_64.

Hi brianwc, thanks for using Ghostery.
Ghostery v2.1.2 has a time delay bug in which it will associate trackers it found in a different tab to the one you are currently viewing. This occurs if you have 2 or more tabs open, and when one of the tabs happens to complete loading of a website while your "active" tab (the one you are looking at) happens to be another site.
This bug has been resolved in the next version of Ghostery v2.2 . This version will be released soon, and the development build is available now. Email me at felix@betteradvertising.com if you would like to test it. -

I am still getting false positives for Microsoft Atlas with v2.2. For example on a localhost start page that I created that has no trackers.

very odd. I'm going to investigate, any info you could provide would be helpful. Thanks!
