Ghostery 3pe notifier bubble in browser window won't go away so I did
I uninstalled Ghostery after I couldn't find a way to get rid of notifier bubble on web page. I have Firefox 3.6x and didn't check the box enabling the bubble in advanced options...I tried checking and unchecking the box...no luck. I'll reinstall if there's solution...This is win 7 64bit,,no problem with xp pc's.

Did you click the "Save" button on the bottom of Ghostery's options page after changing settings? Does the options page reflect your preferences after closing and reopening?Comment -

I believe I did, but I reinstalled left the "show alert button" Unchecked & saved..I see no bubble currently so perhaps the problem is solved..I'll post here if it reappears.

Hi Bob, thanks for trying Ghostery.
Generally, this implies that Ghostery was for some reason unable to save its options. Have you tried it with a clean profile? -

When I un-installed, then re-installed, that may have solved the problem..cause I'm not seeing the bubble any more...If it reappears, i'll revisit the topic.
Regarding not being able to save options...sometimes Win7 64 won't let me do this in some aps, but usually there's a popup message...no message popped indicating it wouldn't let me save.
