Ghostery 5.0.1 bug
I just updated to the latest version of Ghostery 5.0.1. and it caused my CPU usage for firefox to go to, and stay at, 100% even after multiple restarts. When I disabled Ghostery it went back to under 10% usage. I'm using Firefox 23 on Mountain Lion

I just updated too. Exact same problem. I'm using Firefox 23 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Gents, info on the system please and what other addons you may have running would do a lot toward finding a quick solution. Also, did either one of you try it with a clean profile? http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Thanks! -

This seems to be an interaction with Firefox and Adblock Plus 2.3.2. You have to restart your browser - not hot load it - and the CPU will peg. This is very easily reproducible with a Mac version of FF 24, ABP and Ghostery (w/ blank profile)

Thanks for reporting Joel, were going to look into the conflict.
