Ghostery breaks GMail
If Ghostery is enabled in Opera (11.64) GMail freezes while loading the main page (after login).
Whitelisting maill.google.com does not help, nor does pausing ghostery. I have to disable ghostery from the settings page. Once the main page has been loaded I can reenable ghostery and everything works. It appears that ghostery is interfering with the loading of my profile.

Hi Oliver,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
Do you have any other extensions active? So it won't load the actual Mail page, but it lets you login correct? -

These are the extensions I have:
weather-forecast (displays a buuton)
fastest-youtube-download
google docs
hypertranslate
persistent text
redirect bypasser
show-hide password
The most likely interaction could be with redirect bypasser and persistent text
I shall disable all except ghostery, test GMail and report back.-
Thank you!

OK, I have disabled everuthing except ghostery and still get the problem. So it is definitely Ghostery + GMail that is causing the trouble.
It is not the login screen that causes the problem. Login works well and if I start in
https://.accounts.google.com/servicel... I have no problem and get safely into
https://www.google.com/settings/account. It is when I selct GMail from that screen that the browser freezes in
https://mail.google.com/mail/
I can unfreeze it by selecting 'open in Basic HTML for slow browsers' but that limits the functionality of the page.
Neither pausing ghostery nor white listing mail.google.com (disabling the content blocker) solves the problem.
Disabling ghostery does solve it and once the mail window is up ghostery can be re-enabled without causing any further difficulties. -
