Ghostery button menu sometimes doesn't appear, breaks standard FF menu bar (Mac)

Ghostery 5.2.1
Firefox 31 Beta
Mac OS X 10.8.3

Sometimes when I click the Ghostery button, the Ghostery menu doesn't appear. After this failure, the standard Firefox menubar menu stops working as well; no menu items are clickable except "Firefox".

I've tested this with all other addons disabled.
