I’m flummoxed

Ghostery causes Firefox to crash on DuckDuckGo.com

Ghostery causes Firefox to crash if you try to submit a search at DuckDuckGo.com. DuckDuckGo (DDG) is an alternative search engine, which Ghostery blocks by default. Upon submitting a search, Firefox will freeze and ultimately crash. I also find it curious that Ghostery would block DDG by default, they do not collect personal information, nor use a tracking cookie. Why would Ghostery crash Firefox? Is there a solution to this problem other than removing DDG from the blocklist? I have been in touch with the developer of DDG and he is equally as confused as to why it would crash Firefox. (Windows XP SP 3, Firefox 3.6.3)
