On eBay, when an auction is ending within the next 60 minutes you normally see the time left (in red) decreasing second by second.
With Ghostery installed, the countdown doesn't change/auto-update, and if there are any new bids, the page doesn't update with the new bid.
Ghostery seems to disable the countdown timer and the bid price auto-updating.
Big problem when you're wanting to bid in the last few minutes. ;-)
(Removing Ghostery fixes the problem)

I was unable to reproduce the problem. I found an auction scheduled to end in four minutes: With all bugs blocked, I saw the time in red count down as described. (The auction ended with no bids.) I looked at several other auctions nearing deadline, and all of them were counting down as expected.
Can you provide any other information that might be helpful in diagnosing this issue? Starting with: which browser are you using? Did you have all bugs blocked, no bugs blocked, or specific bugs blocked? What was the setting for eBay Stats? Was "Cookie Protection" (if available for your browser) in use?
Is the problem still happening? If so, which other "bugs" does Ghostery report on a misbehaving auction page (e.g. BlueKai, DoubleClick, Facebook Social Plugins, Omniture, etc.)? Are they being blocked?
What other add-ons or extensions are enabled in your browser? Some unrelated software products (particularly ones that have "toolbar" in their name) have been shown to interfere with Ghostery's normal operation.
Did you experience problems using any other web sites when Ghostery was active, or just eBay?
Did you try: temporarily disabling blocking, whitelisting the site, or take any other actions (besides removing Ghostery) to try to resolve the situation on your own?

Hi Topic, thanks for letting us know. Please read Eric's reply and provide any/all information you have on this issue. Like Eric, I do not see this issue when trying to snipe an eBay auction =)
