Ghostery Firefox Add-on doesn't work
I am running Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard on PowerBook G4...1.25 GB Memory and 1.5 GHz Processor. I have Ghostery 2.5.3 extension installed as an add-on with Firefox 4.02. It installs just fine, no errors, nothing. The icon appears in the toolbar (although greyed out), all the menu items appear as well. I can select every single menu option in the Ghostery, but nothing works. It just simply doesn't work. The settings do not save when you click the checkboxes and select "Save". All my extensions, plugins, and addons work just fine, except for Ghostery. I cannot understand what's going on. Could someone please help? It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

You're not using Firefox, you're using TenFourFox.
It's almost — but not quite — compatible with Firefox 4.0.1.
Have you tried asking them to investigate? There's a very good chance the issue is due to something in their code (which most likely originated somewhere else), and isn't actually Ghostery's fault.
Unless there's some feature of Firefox 4 you absolutely have to have, you might consider sticking with Firefox 3.6.x for the time being.

1Hi Alex, thanks for posting.
Newest TenFourFox build 5.0 beta 2 contains a fix for this issue with Ghostery. Please try it out.-
Now, this is a real solution! Thanks Felix, it is working like a charm now, as per your advice. ;)
