So there's a program out there called YESWARE that get's embedded into gmail and tracks users with their mail using... I think... beacons. Nothing shows up under ghostery, so should I assume that it is a tracker or beacon that hasn't been found yet? Could it be that it is embedded into gmail, and there is no way to prevent it.
Maybe we can knock off an additional tracker from the list ;-]
Love Ghostery, always have, always will.
Thank you!

1Does this work if images are not loaded in GoogleMail?
(edit: I checked, they say on the site that it will not work for email clients that do not open images) -

It should, but it would defeat the purpose if an image needed to be seen. This would also be bypassed if someone on my contact list was using Yesware and tracking my location without my knowledge or consent.
On the other hand, using a web-based mail app from Tor Browser ultimately makes YESWARE spit back inaccurate locations :-]- view 1 more comment

So true.
I'm perplexed as to how we live in a world where every message is tracked, even emails sent from prospective employers. -

Simple , don't use your browser as the means too access your emails, use email programs like thunderbird , office and the alikes , I personal never ever use browsers for emailing under any condition. That will solve the bulk of your problems with trackers and ads.

Umm, this is probably out of scope for Ghostery, tho I'll add it anyway just to see where their stuff shows up =)
