Internet Explorer / IE: Ghostery icon is not displayed on my command bar and does not appear to be working
Ok. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Ghostery. The computer says that it the installation was complete but now the icon does not appear in the command bar and Ghostery doesn't show up when I search for it in my list of downloaded programs. It's like it downloaded and then vanished completely. What's going on here?

Hi John, thanks for using Ghostery.
Which browser are you using so I can provide some help? -

Hi John,
If you look on the right side of your navigation bar you should see a >>... click on that and you should see Ghostery there.
Let me know if you don't. -

I've expanded the navigation bar all the way out and Ghostery is not there.

Hi John,
Very strange... If you don't see the program listed in the Control Panel > Programs, then it didn't install correctly or at all.
Do you have anything installed that would prevent the install from completing? -
-
Not that I am aware of. The puzzling thing about all of this is that it was previously installed and it was working fine until one day I noticed it wasn't there anymore. It literally just up and vanished. Is there any malware out in the wild that that is hostile to Ghostery?

I don't think so.. I'll do some research and see what I can come up with.
