Ghostery icon missing from the 'Command Bar' of IE 9 pinned site view.
IE9 pinned sites (Windows 7) launched window: Ghostery is missing from the 'Command Bar' list. Could it be made present please?

Hi Roy,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
The attachment is showing Ghostery in the command bar. IE has a fixed width... you can either expand the bar or rearrange the other icons so that Ghostery is in the bar before the extended .
Hope that helps! -

Are you sure you are running IE9 and it didn't update to 11?

The icon is no longer in the command bar.. It should be next to your "Home" icon in the fixed toolbar now.

jkz,
Speaking as a former user of Ghostery: What you do next is uninstall it.
Ghostery "Over 20 million users." Adblock Plus "Over 200 million downloads."-
Hi Roy...
Never "solved" ? I have Ghostery working just fine and as expected in IE 9 on windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
ABP and Ghsotery are very different extensions tho they appear to do somewhat similar things. That said, ABP does not scan/report what it blocked, and Ghostery does. -

I don't know jkz. I don't know if they just need to consider the second post of this thread, that it's down to arrangement of icons, that they first need to 'unlock' the toolbar and drag things out, rearrange icons.
I found a Ghostery icon to be available "as expected" but only if IE was launched directly. Launch IE from a pinned site and no Ghostery icon.
Never solved means a fix to the icon doing a disappearing act should a pinned sited be used to launch IE was never forthcoming.
The marking as "Solved" when the reply did not cover what I was reporting is part of what drove me away from Ghostery. Another part was not being able to see at a glance Ghostery working regardless of how IE was launched then it's not for me.-
Hi Roy,
I appreciate your feedback. The reason the thread was marked as solved was because in the latest release of Ghostery, the icon was removed from the command bar and fixed in the navigation bar like the other browsers.
Ghostery works very well with AdBlock. I use that combination along with NoScript without any issues. In fact many users use this trio with great results.
We are currently working on updates to the IE extension as it is currently not compatible with IE 11. We hope to have the new version out soon.
Again.. much appreciated feedback and you taking the time to reach out to us. -
