Ghostery icon = the scarlet pimpernel
The Ghostery icon keeps disappearing from the add ons bar. I am currently on FF30beta. I can get it back with a an uninstall / reinstall but that's such a pita.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
The add-on bar icon is not currently supported. We are working on bringing that feature back.. This is most likely an issue with the nightly/beta builds. We are investigating a few issues. .This is probably related.
Sorry for the inconvenience. -

If anybody reading this wants to help solve this, tell us:
— The exact version number of Firefox you're using (there might be a dozen different betas before a final release)
— Which version of Ghostery you have
— What other extensions you have enabled (name and version) open about:support and scroll down to the Extensions section
Here's where it gets tricky: we need to know what the state information looks like — both when it appears to be working, and again when it's not.
Ghostery has its own idea of where the icon should be:
... as does Firefox — but you'll need to look at localstore.rdf in your profile directory, and examine all of the lines that look like
<RDF:Description RDF:about="..." currentset="..."/>
(ignore everything else for now)
Hopefully we'll be able to discern a pattern, and figure out when and where the confusion arises. This has dragged on for months, largely because we haven't been able to reproduce the issues some people have been experiencing. This has been frustrating for all of us — but we can't fix what we can't see. It doesn't help that the Add-on SDK, which Ghostery 5 depends upon, isn't stable, nor that Mozilla keeps breaking Firefox in strange and mysterious ways every six weeks.
