What fresh hell is this?
"Ghostery IE v.3.0.0 has detected an older Ghostery IE installation. Please disable or uninstall it."
I let Ghostery update whenever the box pops up saying there's an update. So now what am I supposed to uninstall? There are only 2 Ghostery folders in my Program files: Ghostery IE & Ghostery IE plugin. Neither folder lists any version #.
How do I know what to uninstall? And since when does software require you to remove the old version after updating?

Hi sebastian, thanks for using Ghostery.
IE currently does not support an architecture for addons like other browsers, because of this we are forced to pop a message to let the user know that older version (2.4.2.0 or 2.5.2.0) needs to uninstalled and disabled. To do this, start IE, go into Tools -> Manage Add-ons and select Ghostery IE. One of the entries will have disable button highligthed in its Status section, so you need to press it. Once this is done, the newer version (3.0.0) will begin its operations. We're sorry for the confusion, but we really have no ability at this point to force an uninstall of the older Ghostery... -

The IE 3.0 does not seem to work on Vista sp2 IE9. Previous version, though lacking, did work. I take that back- it worked on the news\ghostery\ie site, by blocking it. I was able to configure while at this ie tab, but the program never worked again.

Now, what does the staff advise to do? Install Ghostery for IE9 under Vista sp2?
