baffled and disappointed
Ghostery not blocking social widgets on some sites.
I have recently noticed that Ghostery no longer blocks the most common social widgets on SOME site (in both Firefox and Chrome. Example: Woot! now shows all 5 widgets (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Reddit and e-mail share). On THIS page (https://getsatisfaction.com/ghostery) I see what I expect (a Ghost which upon hovering, will tell me that Facebook is blocked followed by 2 right arrows with hovertext of allow once or allow always). Don't know exactly when this began, but it's within the last day or two and I haven't updated either Firefox or Chrome recently. Firefox is v21.0 and Chrome is v 27.0.1453.94 m. Under options, Widgets, all are checked. Attached is pic of one site showing that all options are selected and the widgets are still displayed on the page.

Woot! doesn't have any sort of social sharing widget; it's all first-party (and mostly server-side).
Cute Overload uses a WordPress plugin called Jetpack. That's probably out of Ghostery's realm.
