Ghostery Not Operating in IE 10, Windows 8.
Love Ghostery. But Ghostery suddenly stopped working (no icon or purple box read-out) for Internet Explorer 10, Windows 8. It shows under Add-Ons as Enabled. Reinstall/Download did not change this. Perhaps it was an update but the Tools--About Internet Explorer still indicates IE 10. It is not in Enhanced Protection Mode, so it should not be 64 bit, right?

Hi G,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
Ghostery for IE requires IE10 32 bit.. This is the same issue that happens when IE is "upgraded to IE 11".. Weird that its saying 10 still.. -

Hi Pete,
I have made sure that I am operating IE 10 32 bit and still do not see the Ghostery icon or the purple no tracking list even though Ghostery is "enabled" under Managing Add-Ons.
It was working on this system a day ago.
Thanks. -

I am having the same issue with 32-bit IE10 in Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)

I can't replicate this issue on either windows 7 or 8... Can you give me more details on your setups? Did you do any updates recently?

I installed Ghostery yesterday, February 6, 2014. In "Programs & Features" on the Control Panel, it shows up as installed. In IE10, Tools, Manage Add-Ons, it shows up as "Enabled." Clicking on Ghostery, the window shows two buttons at the bottom of the window, "enable" and "disable" and both are greyed out. On the toolbar there is no Ghostery icon and when I navigate to various web sites no purple box shows up.
I also run Chrome so I installed Ghostery on Chrome. It works perfectly on Chrome.
Windows 7 Ultimate, SP1, Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600@2.40 GHz
4GB RAM, 64-bit operating system. 32-bit IE. 4 SATA Hard disks.
Last update to windows was Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2862330)
Installation date: 1/19/2014 1:20 PM
Also running Microsoft Security Essentials. It is updated almost daily, last update this morning (2/7/2013)
I updated to IE11 in December but had so many problems with it that I uninstalled IE11, rolling back to IE10. I wonder if that is causing this issue.-
When you rolled back to IE 10.. did you remove all legacy files/folders? I'm trying to recreate this.. and I'm not seeing the same thing you are describing. any other add ons installed?

Did not roll back any legacy files/folders since I was only on IE11 for 2 days. I'm not sure what you mean by roll back legacy files and folders.
