Ghostery prevents the display of comments on slate.com when using FF. I disabled all my FF plug-ins, then re-enabled the plug-ins one by one, then restarting the browser, and clearing the cache of all of today’s cookies. So far, I’ve added three add-ons back, and things are still weird. I can see comments on all the Slate articles, except a couple, after the adding back the third add-on, Ghostery.
I love the idea of Ghostery, but it's out of my browser for now.

Your suggestion allows Slate.com to display comments — thanks! It unfortunate that the whitelisting is an all-or-nothing proposition, though. Ideally, I'd like to enable the script that runs the comments and block the tracking mechanisms. -
