Since the lastest update every time I open a new page or just refresh an old one it takes Ghostery up to three seconds to get a all the trackers sorted. Sometimes it even make Firefox halt ...
What ́s that about?
It ́s really highly annoying ...

Hey There,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
Which version of Firefox and Ghostery are you using? I'm using 31 and 5.3.2 and not seeing any issues. Do you have any other extensions active?
Please let me know. -

Thank you for your quick reply!
I use Firefox 31.0 and Ghostery 5.3.2
No special extensions except the google Earth plugin ...
Everything was running smoothly until the last Ghostery update on the 6th of August ...
No additional changes were made, nothing new installed since then ...
When I refresh or open a new page the little Ghostery windows appears and slowly, one by one, the found trackers appear and when the list is complete the rest of the page is loading... takes up to three seconds, sometime Firefox even halts for a while (up to ten second maybe) and then continues to load ...
Does that help? -

Can you try creating a new Firefox profile and see if that problem persists there? Don't delete the current one so you can go back..

Thank you for your reply! I think it was rather something else: my virus scanner tried to install another little sub sub programme without asking me. This obviously caused some conflicts with Ghostery.
And having done that without asking caused me to kick out the virus scanner, install a new one and enjoy the Ghostery performance I got used to :-)
Thank you for your assistance! -

Great to hear! Let me know if anything else comes up.
