I recently started getting the Meebo bar added to my browser page. Someone told me that Ghostery could help me eliminate it. I installed Ghostery and watched the video. I found the Ghostery icon. The purple box displays "chartbeat" and "rightmedia", so I enabled blocking for them. I didn't see anything specifically for Meebo. When I stop refresh the page in question, the Meebo bar still appears. Any suggestions for getting rid of it? I am running IE 8.
Thanks,
Ron

Hi ron, thanks for using Ghostery.
Unfortunately, the way that IE works currently prevents Ghostery from stopping Meebo from loading. I'd suggest using a different browser if at all possible, Ghostery on Opera, Safari, Chrome or Firefox is a much more sophisticated software that does not allow for the same gaps that IE does.

I see the Meebo popup bar at www.tnr.com. I have the plugin v 2.4.2. for IE. The bubble doesn't show meebo as detected, and the Options list doesn't have Meebo. Am I SOL?
