You should be happy you even have a comment box to express your unpleasant complaints. They have already stated they are working to improve the version that currently exsist!! What's wrong with you all? Thank you Ghostery for at least attempting to do something positve and proactive for a huge problem that really needs addressing.

Hi Rebecca!
Thank YOU for using Ghostery! -

Rebecca - what do you think of this then ?
I have asked Ghostery for a response as all is not what it seems according to this post on another forum.
Ghostery, is owned by an advertising company. Evidon, the parent company, sells aggregate information about Ghostery users to advertisers. It's the only reason the offer Ghostery; look it up. And btw, Evidon's former name was Better Advertising, Inc. They've gone through a lot of effort to bury that, but their motivation remains the same: better advertising, not more privacy for their users.
and Wikipedia
Originally developed by David Cancel, Ghostery was acquired by the privacy technology company Evidon (previously named The Better Advertising Project) in January 2010. Currently, through the use of a reporting function named "GhostRank" that users can opt into, Ghostery provides reports to Evidon about advertisers and data collectors, which Evidon then provides to advertising industry groups including the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Direct Marketing Association, parts of the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA).[4] These agencies then use those reports to monitor how Online Behavioral Advertisers operate and, when needed, refer them to the Federal Trade Commission.[-

Who doesn't like an effective police force? Criminals, because it cuts into their profits, and "private security" firms, for the same reason. Ghostery works, and it works well. How do we know this? Because people aren't going to waste their time and energy trash-talking things that don't make a real difference.
You know you've made it to the top when you see stuff like this:
That's good publicity for us; not so much for Ghostery's nominal "competitor," which didn't rate a mention. (That product isn't free, and isn't as comprehensive. But it does have snazzier graphics, and people are welcome to pay for that, if that's what's important to them.) It sucks that they're such a bad sport about it.
