I’m confused

Help needed on CCleaner/Ghostery settings to stop it reseting blocking options.

CCleaner is reseting my blocking options so I have to re-do them each time. Has anyone else had this? I want to continue using this great program but this is a little annoying. Any help is much appreciated.

  • Are you sure CCleaner is doing this? I wouldn't expect that unless you have a custom configuration (e.g. winapp2.ini). Click Analyze, then view detailed results. If you see any lines containing firefox@ghostery.com you've got a problem. Try http://forum.piriform.com/ for assistance.

  • I use Norton Utilities...and it happens to me all the time....
The Wizzard is just a 4 screen process....if you use a registry cleaner, that is what registry cleaners do....
They clean your browsing history, all cookies and saved passwords from your browser....
if there is a work around, then I am not sure what that is. but 30 seconds is not a bad thing...
@Eric Scott that is good information for Firefox users....:)
I use Ghostery for Chrome and I don't have a problem with the Wizard popping up for customizing my settings....it just takes a short time after my Registry cleaner does its job....
