HELP with deleting Ghostery

I have been trying to uninstall Ghostery for weeks and cannot find a way to do it. It's installed on Firefox - I went to Addons in Firefox and Ghostery does not show up. However, it pops up an annoying list box every time I move my cursor. How do I get rid of Ghostery???

    Hi Chris, thanks for trying out Ghostery.

    Generally, addon removal in Firefox is very simple:
    - open Firefox
    - launch addon manager (ctrl + shift + a)
    - select Extensions and find Ghostery
    - press Remove under Ghostery entry
    - restart Firefox

    It seems that you've tried it already -- before proceeding tho, please do check that you've followed the steps above, if, however, that didn't help, you will need to remove Ghostery manually.

    Manual Ghostery removal for Firefox is simply deleting the directory that Ghostery installs in. Here are the steps:
    - open Firefox
    - enter about:support into nav bar
    - find and click Open Containing Folder next to Profile Directory
    - in the resulting file browser, please proceed into "extensions" folder
    - here you should see the entries for most of your addons. One of them will be firefox@ghostery.com -- delete this directory
    - restart Firefox

    This should guarantee removal of Ghostery, tho you are the first person ever reporting an issue with regular Addon Manager removal issue. Please let me know if this helps.
