I downloaded the Ghostery add on from Fire fox. After it is downloaded, nothing happens. I don't see any action. Is there a step I should do to start the Ghostery function?
Thanks,don

These screen shots demonstrate Ghostery installation using Firefox 3.6.x on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Things may look a little different on other platforms, but they should work the same way.
Log out of any web-based services you're signed into (e-mail, social networking sites, etc.), and close any windows and/or tabs you don't absolutely "need" right now. Things will go much faster, and you'll be less likely to encounter complications.
Select Add-ons from the Tools menu:

Type Ghostery in the search field.

Click Add to Firefox...
It will take a few seconds to download the extension.
Wait for Install Now to appear, then click it.

Click Restart Firefox to continue.

After Firefox restarts, you should see confirmation that Ghostery has been installed. Go ahead and close this window.

This is probably a good time to Update bug lists. You can find this in two different places: (1) The Ghostery submenu that's been added to Firefox's Tools menu -or- (2) Clicking the ghost icon in the lower-right corner (on the status bar). It doesn't matter which one you choose.
Come back to the Configuration Walkthrough, and just follow the instructions.

Don, did Eric's explanation help you out? Are you still having an issue?
