I want to be able to stop ad networks from harvesting data about my browsing, but I am entirely happy to allow things like Google Analytics (I run a blog myself, and statistics about what viewers are reading is really helpful, so I like to give back). However, there doesn't appear to be any easy way to filter out ad networks but leaving legitimate analytics software alone. I thought I could do case-by-case, but the constant bubble popping up in the top corner of my screen is really starting to annoy me.
Is there any way to filter the list base on category? I don't have a very good feeling for the available analytics software out there (already unblocked Google Analytics and Clicky, but those are the only ones I know off the top of my head).

Hi Ian, thanks for using Ghostery.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a list based on the tracker type at this point. The only way to discover what the tracker does is to click on the "What is ?" when the tracker is found. This will take you to a page that briefly tells you who they are, privacy policy, and some other info. We are planning to break down the list by type, but its a slow going, and there is no ETA at this time. -
