Either Google has found a way around your block or there is something wrong with the software.
"Google AJAX search API" is NOT being blocked at Breitbart even though I have it blocked.
Can you give me a fix for this?

1Hi everyone, thanks for reporting this issue.
This is a minor bug due to the fact that CSS from Ajax search is loaded, but the main payload isn't. Because of this, there is a misreport on this site, even tho the tracker has been blocked successfully.
We'll look into patching this issue sometime soon. Thanks.

Greetings Donseye,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
I see what you mean.. I am forwarding to Dev for investigation. Thanks for the heads up! -

Thought I would throw in this composite screenie. You can see where the button reports all items are blocked but the panel and balloon seem to indicate otherwise even tho the settings are in compliance. At the time of these screen shots, in options all 1361 trackers and 754 cookies were set to be blocked and the site is not whitelisted. Good luck with the fix. Ghostery rocks!!

We have this in the queue.

This is also true for me on several sites - Firefox 19.0 and Windows 7 Premium

How do I revert to the old arrangement permanently? The new arrangement tells me a site is being blocked but it isn't!!! I was very happy with the old setup it worked, the new one is not very user friendly - so far anyway.
The screen shot indictes my problem. The top window says Google AJAX Search API is not blocked, the text at the bottom of the screen says it is. The new screen says it is blocked but it is neither greyed out nor does it have a line through it. It is a newly encountered tracker. Sorry to rain on your parade...

Since a day or two some of the trackers are not blocked by Ghostery, although they are marked as blocked. I've seen a couple now, Enreach is one of them. I'v tried to unblock and then block again, I've done it several times, restarted and reloaded... nothing works. How come? (I use Firefox)

In Firefox Ghostery does not block some sites even though the toggle is to the right and red. Tried resetting it and reloaded the site only to find it still isn't blocked. Only started happening after new version with new interface was loaded.

Although Ghostery tool tip and report declare Disqus and Outbrain blocked, the purple alert bubble has them highlighted (they're not darkened). Why is this. Here's the page where the happened - http://edition.cnn.com/2013/03/01/wor...

I never had this issue until the most recent, noticeable change to Ghostery.
No matter how I try it, it will not block "Google AJAX Search API." It says it is set to block and will do so upon reloading the page but it continues to show as a whitelist item. Am I the only one?

I just clicked the Ghostery button on the tool bar and saw that the interface has changed. I watched the help screens and understand the new controls. I used to be able to tell when a site was blocked cause of the strikeout. There is a site on the list of trackers without strikeout. but in the settings screen the switch is red and to the right. It is not struck out on this screen either. I'm confused as to whether this site is blocked or not.

I just reported a problem of a blocked site with no strikeout. I have more info. The page was a "most emailed" list of articles on a news site. I clicked several articled with the "site not struckout" listed, with strikeout on these several. But when I co back to the article I first noticed this problem with the site isn't struckout, but the switch is red and to the right.

Adknowledge appeared as 'unblocked' in the pop-up bubble. I checked and Adknowledge was already 'blocked.' I unblocked and then re-blocked Adknowledge and reloaded the page: Adknowledge appeared as 'blocked' for a moment (greyed out) and then the grey turned to white and Adknowledge appeared to be 'unblocked' (white) again.

I have the new version of Ghostery up and, using the new version, set Ghostery to block Google AJAX Search API. However, this tracker is still showing as unblocked on a website. Is there a bug in the new version? Or is this a tracker that can't be blocked. Thank you.

I'm running Ghostery 2.9.1 on Firefox 19 with all trackers set to blocked. However, for some sites Ghostery reports some trackers as unblocked. For example, Google AJAX Search API shows up as unblocked on xkcd.com

There is a widget called nRelate that I have checked off to be blocked, however Ghostery is not blocking this widget. If you could help me block this that would be great. It seems that Ghostery cannot block this one. P.S. I have Ghostery updated and nRelate is checked as being blocked but it's still getting through. Thanks

Adknowledge is not being blocked in neither the older nor newer version of Ghostery. Every time I load a page which has it, it is showing white in the list - when it should be gray with a line thru it. Please fix!

I have blocked google analytics on all sites, and I have not white listed any urls.
On many sites, I see the google analytics on ghostery with strike through confirming the tracker is blocked.
However, I can't seem to block it on this site:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com
I don't see the tracker with strike through. When I click on the settings, I see the button toggles to right with red, and grey check mark button, but the Google Analytics doesn't have strike through to confirm its blocked.
On visiting other site with Google Analytics, I do see it blocked with strike through.
Is this a bug?

Is it blocking? In the purple reporting activity dialog balloon I always considered it "normal" and correct to observe the trackers greyed out and with a strike thru. Since the last upgrade, I regularly see trackers in white and no strike thru. I reconfirmed today that I have all items set to block. Clicking into the specifics, I see the slider switches set to the right, in red and claiming to be blocking. Please explain the white, no strike thru named trackers in the purple dialog box. Thanks. For example FacePlant has the first and last items as white not strike thru:
DoubleClick, MediaMind, Microsoft Atlas
