?a=26479603 doesn't work unless AT internet is enabled for the page

When visiting the embedded player on Ampya http://www.ampya.com/player/embed/858... (not quite sure if this is accessible outside of Germany, it's basically a Spotify clone), the content doesn't show up unless AT internet is enabled for the site.

Well, that's not very nice of them.

I wonder if a surrogate that provides

function xt_click(){return true;}

might do the trick, or if something more is required?

  Felix, I'm pretty sure you're going to want an xtcore.js surrogate that returns true for xt_adc(), xt_click(), and xt_med() — possibly xt_rm() as well.

Well, that's not very nice of them. Can I implement substitute functions in Ghostery as user or do I need to use something like Firebug for this?

  The "improved surrogate system" introduced with Ghostery 5.0.5 is not updatable, which means (1) any official changes now necessitate releasing a new version of Ghostery and (2) it isn't easy for users to test proposed changes. [This was written when 5.1.0 was the current release.]
  
  For development purposes, I would create a new profile.

  Disable automatic updates for add-ons.
  
  Install Ghostery 2.9.6 (which uses the "old" surrogate system).

  Library auto-update should be disabled.
  
  Manually update the tracker library.
  
  You can safely block up to 1820 trackers; Ghostery 2.9.6 may malfunction if you exceed that.
  
  Go into the "ghostery" folder in the new profile.
  
  Quit Firefox.
  
  Make a copy of surrogates.db in some other place for safekeeping.
  
  The format of surrogates.db should be pretty obvious. Of the three allowed types (exact, instring, and regex), I've found instring to be the most useful.
  
  Remember, you will need to restart Firefox for any changes to be recognized.
  
  Tracker library updates may overwrite your changes, so save your work if you care about it.
  
  Let us know if you discover anything interesting.

  Alexander, Eric, its probably easier to do it with 5.x release. To do it, open your profile folder, extensions and extract firefox@ghostery.com.xpi to firefox@ghostery.com folder and delete xpi.
  
  Next, go into that folder/resources/ghostery/data/databases and edit surrogates2.json.
  
  Any editing will require a restart of Firefox to test changes.

  It's a lot easier to work with the old one because it's self-contained. surrogates2 introduces a dependency on bugs — the use of pattern_id is particularly troubling.

  Well, while I agree that original was a bit easier, the newer system is a lot more flexible and therefore useful.
  
  As far as dependencies: there are none, you don't have to provide pattern or app ids at all. You may use match or site and sid only or any/all combinations as you see fit.
