i still get a lot of commercials every time i click a site on, its making me sick!!! even now a lot of pictures appear

how can i block all the visiting commercial sites???
every time i click on a site, i get totally other sides, and little pictures for commercials that i dont want, its a lot of work to get them away.
and when i click to go further everything comes back or i travel to other sites without asking.
HELP!!!!?????

    HI...I can really relate to this problem. I found that installing Ghostery on my Firefox browser works great to eliminate about 85% of the problems for the sites I go to frequently. But, as Pete explained to me, some ads are "embedded" so those are not blocked by Ghostery. I had problems at first but now my computer is running smoothly. I have to put up with a few unwanted things but at least it's not as annoying as it used to be. You might also want to do a search of Adware Blockers and other blocking software or apps appropriate to your system. Stay calm, don't let 'em get to you...every problem has a solution!     Thanks for using Ghostery!

    1 thing to remember.. Ghostery is not an Adblocker. We block scripts on the pages. Many times they are embedded in advertising, but its not always the case. I would install something like Adblock with Ghostery. Works really well for me.
