ie 10 and back button issue
I have ghostery installed on ie 10 and have a problem. It seems to work like the firefox addon except I get a internet explorer cannot display page vs the ghostery icon as with firefox. I also have a problem with the back button in ie, when ghostery blocks something the back button wants to go back threw each blocked element before it goes to the previous page.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
Which version of Windows are you running? This is a new one! Let me know and I'll see what I can figure out. -

Hello Pete and good day to you. It has been a few days now and I was curious if your team has come to any conclusion with the issue I am having?

also to let you know, before notifying you I did completely uninstall via revo uninstaller and reinstall after defaulting IE's settings just to be sure with the same results with the back button.

I just tested with one tab then opened another and tested in the second tab and it was same result for one or both tabs on different websites. Back button goes threw all blocked elements before backing up to the last page.

Pete,
I know you have not replied so their must not be a solution yet but I was wanting to make you aware that today during a Malwarebytes scan Ghostery was flagged. Here is a copy of the log file.

Hi Dave,
Yeah... very sorry for the non-response in a while.. I can't for the life of me replicate this case at all on any machine... I've tried close to everything. And.. this is the only reported case of this..
The malware detection is due to the crossrider framework that we chose to use to get Ghostery into IE. It's a known issue that we are looking into fixing by, most likely, writing our own IE framework from the ground up..
I know its not the best answer on either front.. but its all I have for now.. Are you locked into using IE? I would recommend for a bunch of other reasons to use a different browser.. -

No problem, as I know you must be busy and up to your ears with code all day long.
As for the IE issue I don't use IE but to see how a website reacts to IE after building or modifying so it really isn't a issue for me what so ever. I have wondered that maybe it is a issue with the Do not track + from Abine since the first time I installed Ghostery I actually had dnt+ installed and removed afterwords. But in all honesty I have not a clue and since I don't use IE it really don't bother me. I just wanted to let you know of the issue so fixes could be made, but since it is only me having the issue it must be something on my end. And since their is nothing crazy done to this pc like removing services, reg edits, ect.. the only thing I can contribute it to maybe the dnt+ that was installed when I installed Ghostery. Either way I am not a programer just a hardware tech with a freelance in web design so I really don't have a clue.
My default browser is Firefox and Ghostery work's flawless on it.
I will let this go since I am the only person with the issue with IE and keep on using the Firefox addon which I like and will continue to use. Thanks for your assistance Pete and if you would like you can close this thread.
