I had that problem to wityh my FIREFOX Browser and I had to just cave in and put on the newest version because many of the things I was able to use on the oler versions of Fire Fox stopped working like they should have, So I'm really better off with the new version. ONE THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS NOT BEING ABLE TO HAVE A GOOGLE TOOL BARE and I found a much better one called gogglebar witch you can click on it and then you get a drop down and one of the things on the DROP DOWN Was Google homepage. It won't change your home page but will bring up the Google home page that is only good for goggle searches I REALLY LIKE THE googlebar tool bar -
