Importing Backup files in Firefox not working

Well, I can't remember what exact Firefox Version this started but.. I think its around Firefox 34.. Anyhow, I go to settings>Import/Export Settings.. I click on Browse to find a backup file,.. nothing happens..

I looked around on this forum and the net, but I see no metion of it whatsoever.. I even uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled it, tried new Profiles, blank profiles.. and no go. It still don't work.. Can someone help?

So.. you've created an export file already correct? and you are looking for it in the folder it was exported to?

OR

when you click browse no finder window opens?

When I go to click on Browse to find a Backup file.. Nothing shows up. I have no clue why this is.

I just reformated my pc, and installed Firefox fresh, downloaded and installed Ghostery, set it up, made a backup file, then I went to Import said backup file, but when Clicking Browse.. Nothing came up.

Before, I had issues where the Settings would reset and the Button would disappear. But that fixed itself. This used to work flawlessly up til now.

  The settings issue was fixed in 5.4.2. I can't replicate this issue.. which Windows OS? Have you tried updating your Firefox?

  Windows XP (yes I know, but I got an old pc and no cash to get a new one) and Yes, I have updated firefox.. it updates on its own.
  
  I said I don't have the settings issue anymore. Just the problem where the dang Import Button does nothing.

  ok.. I was just referencing when you said it worked itself out. Just wanted to be clear there. Might be an OS issue.. I'll have to dig out an XP machine to take a look. I'll update asap.

  I can't replicate any issues.. it doesn't seem to be OS.. might be local.. I still have a ticket in with Dev.. but I haven't heard back
