Intense Debate, hard to "catch" ghostery blocking it!

I was having THE worst time trying to figure out why I couldn't make any comments in Blogger, using intense debate.... I suspected it might be one of my extensions (because I could post comments from an incognito window....
The main problem, is that unless you are actively attempting to post a comment, the fact that Ghostery is blocking intense debate DOES NOT SHOW! Now that I've unchecked the setting I'm able to post without problems... but not knowing that it was the issue especially when clicking on it made my life a obsessed/frantic whirlwind of confusion and frustration for at least a whole day! DX
There needs to be a way to show that ghostery intends to block intense debate when visiting a site that uses it for comments...

  • Hi Michael, thanks for using Ghostery.

Could you please tell me which site this occurred on, I'd like to look at this issue closer. Technically, Ghostery should also notify you when a dynamic inclusion occurs, like a comment post, but looks like there is an issue here. Additionally, you may always look into Ghostery's Block Log -- thats a full log of everything going through Ghostery, regardless if it has been reported in purple box/status bar.

  • I’m thankful
I'd be more than happy to.
The site in question was through blogspot, but specifically the site address was http://nukuv.blogspot.com and I had trouble making comments because of ghostery in multiple blog entries for that blog...
(the full url of a very specific instance was http://nukuv.blogspot.com/2011/02/she... )

After I saw intense debate being listed in the status bar, I went through the full block log and found it. Unchecking it there fixed the issue. I simply just didn't think to look there because I assumed it would show up in the status bar...
I hope you manage to fix issue, and I'm extremely encouraged to have received feedback so rapidly, very professional! I most assuredly intend to continue using ghostery in the future, and I look forward to enjoying the level service and effectiveness I've come to associate with ghostery thus far.

edit: Please note that the links included do lead to a blog with some adult content (no images but text for sure....) please keep that in mind if you choose to examine the blog "in-depth"...
