Is Ghostery for Opera now using the new url filtering (content blocking) API introduced in Opera 12.10?
If not, I reckon Ghostery should now use it. This should prevent false positives and allow blocking of more trackers because of the better API. It should also help with the "Ghostery's tracker library is slightly smaller in Opera" issue

CHAMP

We helped resolve a conflict with the Speed Dial for Facebook extension in the last Ghostery for Opera release (0.9.8). Part of that work was investigating Opera 12.10's new content blocking capabilities.
It seems that the new Opera features are not quite enough to eliminate the extra work we do in Opera (like converting Ghostery patterns to an Opera-compatible format, or scanning pages as a separate step from blocking selected resources). Some improvements should be on the way, however: for example, we should be able to bring site whitelisting under Ghostery's control.
We are now working on bringing a completely redesigned findings panel along with translations into several languages to all versions of Ghostery. We plan on coming back to working with the new content blocking capabilities either for the next or the following Ghostery for Opera update.
