After installing a Windows 7 update yesterday (3 dececember), it seems to be impossible to start Ghostery in IE 10. The icon has disappeared and there is no way to find it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Ghostery, but nothing works.
Do you know what is going wrong? Did Microsoft made some changes on IE10 with the result that Ghostery does not work under IE10 anymore?
I noticed that in my directories program files X86 en program files, all my internet files have been replaced with files wich have the date 3/12/2013.
Can you help me?

This sounds like an issue that has come up with IE updating to IE 11.. can you double check that? Or.. are you running IE in 64 bit?Comment -

I just discovered my Ghostery will no longer boot and I am missing the icon. My most recent program updates are:
- ZoneAlarm
- IE10 to IE11
- IE add-on for Ghostry 32 bit
My specs which have not changed:
- Windows 7
- OS 64-bit
- AMD Ahtlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.81 GHz
- RAM 4.0 GB

Ghostery is not compatible with IE 11.. If you want to stay with IE.. you need to downgrade to IE 10 and uncheck Auto version update.

Thanks for your rapid response. Does Ghostery ever intend to develop compatibility with Internet Explorer once again? Or do you envision IE ever developing compatibility with Ghostery? If yes to either question, can you speculate a time horizon?

Good luck and please let us know when that's achieved. In the meantime, I'll investigate an alternative browser with sadness. I've been nothing other than an Internet Explorer all my life and that has been a loooooooong time.
