Has malware turned off Ghostery? How do I correct this?

Which version of Firefox and Ghostery are you using? Do you have any other add ons installed? Can you give me a few examples of pages that are not scanning?
If you refresh does the page scan then?Comment -

FF 24.0. I just updated Ghostery to 5.0.5 and that seems to have cleared it up.

I was running version 21.0
I don't know when ghostery stopped working. The icon disappeared from my toolbar. I put it back and it reports "this page was not scanned". It doesn't tell me which page, but no matter what websites I visit I get the same message.
I upgraded to version 28 with same result.
I tried disabling cookie self destructor and adblock plus. didn't help.

Did you upgrade your Ghostery? you should be on 5.1.2 -
