Malfunctioning blocking and lag on web pages

Hi I have been using Ghostery for awhile now on my Google Chrome and I love it. I just installed it on my IE at your invitation. I had to uninstall it. I think it needs some work yet or I am doing something wrong. after installing Ghostery on IE I lost use of my Ancestry.com page and could not bring the page up even after pausing Ghostery or whitelisting Ghostery. Also my youtube page was lagging when I typed and copied a video. Also I was unable to listen to a pod cast from NPR. It was so bad that I was sure I had previously contracted a virus. My malware bytes and AVG said no virus. When I uninstalled Ghostery all the above was functioning normally. I am using windows 7. with the above security. and Ghostery works totally fine when I use Google Chrome. I can't think of any other add ons that would affect this situation. any sugestions? Germaine
