I hope that it is OK for me to place a message here as well. I have somewhat the same problem as the OP but in this case it isn't malware related.

My problem has to do with http://pirateproxy.net/

When you search for a file and you sort on seeders, the moment you click on the sort option it pop-ups a ad and then sorts by seeders. This is how that website is designed.

Some kind of clickjacking I assume. It should just sort without throwing a pup-up in your face.

I want to put a request here for Ghostery to also tackle that annoying ad mechanism.
