Only display bug count if bugs are NOT blocked
Or, perhaps, change the icon color if bugs are active.

Hi Tommy,
Thanks for using Ghostery and for the feedback.
We all ready change the color if blocking is active vs. disabled and since most of the time there are trackers on pages adding a different color may just confuse users.
More users than you would expect don't actually block. They us Ghostery as a detection tool. So displaying the total of Trackers found on the page rather than the action Ghostery took seems to be closer to what will work for the larger section of Ghostery users.
Can you give some examples of when that would be beneficial? -

I block (using Options) all bug classes except Widgets, which I decide case by case whether to block. I would like to know when a new widget appears on a page without opening the 'drop-down' over and over. I do not find the notification box very useful: If the timeout is long enough for review, the box obscures page content to a point I find annoying; a short timeout results in my not noticing the box content if page content catches my immediate attention. Over time, as most bugs are blocked, I find I'm mostly ignoring the notification. I'd like to turn the notification box off and still receive an indication that there's an active widget on the page.

Hi TommyLB,
Here is the long and winding feature request for ignoring specific trackers in notifications: https://getsatisfaction.com/ghostery/... -
