I’m Concerned

Phorm admits 'consensual' DPI targeting does not work. Goes 'main stream'. Redefines 'Users' by dropping cookies on them without consent.

Dear Sirs,

May I request that you add the following domains to your blocking of scripts and cookies.

http://www.adobur.com
http://www.moodoo.com.cn
http://www.imrk.com

These sites are now being used to drop 'UID' and 'opted in' cookies on peoples computers in support of Phorm's attempt to redefine themselves outside of their DPI efforts.

Please refer to the references to Turkey from Page 5)[4] of,

http://www.phorm.com/sites/default/fi...

and their redefinition of a 'user' at the bottom of that page.

You can find evidence of this via http://www.urlquery.net

For example,

7th June 2014

hTTp://urlquery.net/report.php?id=1404617569944

Search for imrk and expand the panel by clicking on it..

Cookies set.

16th July 2014

hTTp://urlquery.net/report.php?id=1405511897248

Search for imrk and expand the panel by clicking on it..

Cookies not set.

The assumption would be that as is now the case with adobur.com in Turkey Phorm have 'hidden' this cookie setting by checking the visitors IP address.

In respect of abobur.com one example would be,

http://urlquery.net/report.php?id=140...

The 'direct' logs on URLQuery are rotated off the main server so I do not believe I can link directly to an example for moodoo.com.cn.

Regards

Keith
