Using Vimperator (a Firefox extension), you can style the StatusLine, e.g. using the following command:
highlight StatusLine background-color:#ddd; color:#000; border-bottom:1px solid #666; border-top:1px solid #666;
However, the text displayed by Ghostery ("Blocked: X of Y") gets displayed blue always.
This was especially disturbing with the Vimperator defaults of a black ("#000") StatusLine.
Please use default text color in status bar / StatusLine

That color is hardwired into Ghostery CSS regardless of the current skin. If you wish to overwrite it yourself, the property we're using is #ghostery-status. I'm going to add priority rule in which Ghostery will fore-go our settings for the defaults of the skin in the next release.Comment -
