Ghostery IE prompts me to close IE for update, after do that and accept the update, IE reopens immediately and there is no update happening.
I'm using Ghostery IE Version 2.4.2.0. IE Version is 9.02 (Update Version).
What to do?

Mine does the same, part of the greater IE issue reported earlier. Window pops up when opening new window or page, says to manually close all windows and update Ghostery. Close all the windows, tell it to update, closes then re-opens the window, and near as can be told, nothing has happened. The menu items that work (also mentioned in the greater IE issue reported earlier) gives no option for telling when it was updated, or any dates of said updates.

Add-ons that run alongside Ghostery IE in my case are: Shockwave Flash, Adobe pdf, Google Toolbar, Jave plug-in, Norton Safe Web Lite and a few Microsoft add-ons, e.g. Silverlight, XML DOM documents.
OS Vista 64-bit. -

I seem to experience same problems as described above. Ghostery installed easily on my Firefox, but when trying to install on my Internet Explorer, it hangs up.

I am running into the same problem. I close all the tabs and click update...but nothing appears to happen, I just want to make sure Ghostery is up to date? Any ideas how to force an update?
