Rule based blocking
Block trackers based on data collected: I wish you could set Ghostery so it would block all trackers that collected specified types of data. For example, if I didn't want my click stream and IP address collected, then a setting in Ghostery would allow me to set that and then any tracker that collect those types of data would automatically be blocked without me having to set anything for the individual trackers. It could be rules based blocking. BTW, great extension.

Hi There,
Thanks for using Ghostery!
You can set your blocking options in this way using our tagging feature. Click on the tags that correspond to the action/data you are looking to block and set those. Blocking new trackers corresponding to a tag would need to be added though. I think that's a great idea.
Thanks for reaching out! -

Yes, I looked at that. I was thinking of something more granular related to the types of data listed under the Privacy Information/Data Collected in the tracker profiles: for example:
Anonymous (Browser Information, Cookie Data , Date/Time, Demographic Data, Hardware/Software Type, Internet Service Provider, Interaction Data , Page Views )
Pseudonymous (IP Address (EU PII), Search History, Device ID (EU PII))
I'd like to be able to say block all trackers that collect Demographic Data, Search History, and Device ID.
I understand this information is hard to keep accurate or know what they are collecting, but it would be a nice capability.
It would be nice if there was a requirement for trackers to provide a data profile interface so they could be queried to what they collect so knowing what they collect would be upto date and their responsibility to provide that level of transparency. A far off dream :) -
