salon.com loading problem via firefox only, on a mac10.8.5

salon.com via firefox only : [mac]
*click on home page,goes to 9 inches below first story,needing to scroll up to get the most recent top story
*click on article :article appears for under 2 seconds. http line is the correct direction to the article with a blank page below
*click refresh:: ditto above point
*click refresh multiple times ,same result
*when finally appearing to being almost connected to article:the format of salon news,politics,entertainment,life, tech,business,sustainability and all subheadings appear.scrolling down finally to reveal the article in what appears to be the "reader" format

*when clicking on the first article headline below the salon header,headline does not "light up" until I scroll down about an inch below the black masthead.
salon is my home page, and I would appreciate any direction with this
